Providing cardiovascular healthcare to the Southern Highlands

Conveniently located with easy access, we provide quality cardiovascular care. The practice started in 1990, and moved to it’s current location on Bowral Street in 2023. The design and build of the premises is patient-focused, understanding the needs of the local community.

A modern approach

Our goal is to achieve the best outcome through clinical excellence by combining state-of-the-art diagnostics with highly tailored treatment plans.

Experience counts. We specialise in varied, complex cardiology, addressing everything from advanced heart failure and adult congenital heart defects to structural heart disease and complex arrhythmias. We manage cardiac amyloid, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, valve disease, leadless pacemakers and pericardial disease. Our continued involvement in both public and private hospitals means quality care and meticulous peer review.

Our fees

Private billing

Bowral Cardiology operates as a private billing practice. We do not offer routine bulk-billing. All outpatient consultations and diagnostic services will incur a gap fee (out-of-pocket expense) above the Medicare Benefits Schedule (MBS) rebate.

Department of Veterans' Affairs (DVA) Gold Card holders are generally fully covered with no out-of-pocket expenses.

Fees for initial consultations, review appointments, and non-invasive cardiac testing (including Echocardiograms, Exercise Stress Tests, Holter Monitors, and 12-Lead ECGs) are dependent on the complexity of the service.

Payment on the day

Full payment is required at the conclusion of your appointment.

Medicare rebate

We offer automated Medicare Online Claiming so your rebate can be processed directly into your registered bank account on the same day.

Cancellations & non-attendance

Cardiology appointments require significant scheduling blocks and specialised equipment. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice, or failure to attend a scheduled appointment, may incur a non-attendance fee.
